Staff guidance – leaving your role

Moving to a New Role Within UHB 

You're moving to a new role within UHB - congratulations on your next step! You have the option to request an exit interview. If requested, this should be arranged within a reasonable timeframe of the manager or nominated person receiving the notification. 

What you need to do

  • Create a handover for your manager
    • include key information that will help your team continue working smoothly after you leave 
  • Help review your annual leave
    • make sure any leave taken is correctly recorded in eRostering
  • Check your N365 documents (e.g. Teams, OneDrive)
    • transfer ownership of anything your team still needs
  • Remember to return any equipment e.g. phones/laptop/keys to your line manager

Moving to Bank Only (UHB+) 

You’re moving to a Bank-only contract with UHB+. Thank you for all your contributions so far! You have the option to request an exit interview. If requested, this should be arranged within a reasonable timeframe of the manager or nominated person receiving the notification. 

What you need to do

  • Create a handover for your manager
    • include key information that will help your team continue working smoothly after you leave
  • Help review your annual leave
    • make sure any leave taken is correctly recorded in eRostering
  • Check your N365 documents
    • transfer ownership of anything your team still needs
  • Confirm your Bank post is set up - this must be done at least six weeks before your final working day
  • Once your Bank post is confirmed, email to request the leavers form

Leaving UHB Entirely 

You’re leaving UHB, thank you for everything you’ve contributed during your time here. You have the option to request an exit interview. If requested, this should be arranged within a reasonable timeframe of the manager or nominated person receiving the notification. 

What you need to do

  • Create a handover for your manager. Include key information that will help your team continue working smoothly after you leave
  • Help review your annual leave
    • Make sure any leave taken is correctly recorded in eRostering
  • Check your N365 documents
    • transfer ownership of anything your team still needs
  • Remember to return any equipment e.g. phones/laptop/keys to your line manager
  • Set up an out-of-office message on your email and voicemail to help redirect any queries
