For colleagues who are currently not travelling by bus, National Express West Midlands offer a one-off four-week free bus pass. You can apply here:

A 4-week bus pass for new recruits is also available, irrespective of if they use the bus or not, as well as an 8-week free bus pass for colleagues who join us from abroad. Both of these are available in induction packs or by emailing:

NX West Midlands also offer a 10% off monthly bus pass, exclusively for NHS staff. More information is available here:

Cycling

There is also the Go Cycle and Scoot Scheme from Transport for West Midlands. One code gives you a free Flexi Pass which provides 300 minutes free on West Midlands e-scooter and e-bike hire for 30 days. Get double minutes on a West Midlands Cycle Hire pedal bike, too (terms and conditions apply). This offer can be shared with friends and family. More information is available here:

UHB has a Cycling to Work Scheme partner, Cycle Solutions, which allows colleagues to purchase a bike, as well as safety gear and clothing, at big discounts via salary sacrifice, making it more affordable. You choose your perfect combination of bike and accessories, and then rent the equipment through salary sacrifice. The maximum package value could be up to £10,000.

You won’t pay to park and can take advantage of state-of-the-art, secure storage facilities and showers.
